Volunteer Appreciation Week
It is VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION WEEK and boy oh boy do we miss you all! This time last year, we were sitting together sharing a meal, listening to some amazing music, and chatting with each other. Times may have changed, but our love and appreciation for all of our volunteers has not!! Our volunteers are there for our animals in so many ways. We have foster homes, shelter volunteers, store volunteers, those who transport our animals, soup cookers, bakers, groomers, SNAP volunteers and vets that give of their time and expertise, those that help keep our dog park at its best and all of the others things that keep us running.
We thank and appreciate each and every one of you. YOU make RESCUE possible, you lift our spirits, you make us laugh, you understand our troubles, and you share the burden of loving too hard.
One of the sentiments repeated again and again came from Mister Rogers and it is so true within our community. "When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” (Mr. Rogers)
