Meet Willie!

This very handsome guy came to us after his owner went into hospital and could no longer look out to him. He does not really have a name. We were told his name is puppy but he does not seem to respond to that at all so an employee here called him Willie and it stuck! He is a 3-year-old black lab mix and a larger boy maybe 60-70lbs.

Willie is like a big puppy with his playful and hyper ways. It seems that he does not know how to be an indoor pet but with some work he would adjust in no time. He just needs a stern owner with a dominant personality to show him a few things. It is time to stop being a puppy and more of a mature dog like he actually is. Willie could be your new best friend!

We were told that he does well with other dogs and maybe a friend could be just the thing he needs to keep him entertained and calmer. He also lived with cats in his previous home. School aged children would be best with him as he likes to jump up and requires some training.

Since here he has had an Interceptor deworming and has had his first DA2PP vaccine. He will need to be neutered by his new family in a 2-month time frame after adoption.

Please note that our shelter is open to the public Monday- Saturday 11am - 4pm.  Adoptions will operate by appointment only.
