Meet Apollo!

Male, 11 Months Old

DOB: June 17/2025

German Shepherd, Very Large

He is a very friendly dog that loves to be around people. He will actually try to get up in your arms for snuggles and kisses. He just wants to be close to his peeps and he is pretty well behaved for only still being a young pup. He does like to jump up on people so he will need some basic training for things like that.

Apollo enjoys walks as well so an active home would certainly be good for him and a fenced yard would be great as well. He is very anxious in his kennel and when left alone for a long time. He needs a home that will not be leaving him for long periods of time and/or someone who has the time to help him get more used to a crate.

We are told he does great with other dogs. He never lived with cats before and we have not tested him. We do feel a home with no young children is best as he is very large and jumps up when excited.

He had an Interceptor Plus deworming and a DA2PP vaccine. He will be Neutered Tuesday, June 2/2026 before he goes to a new home.

Our shelter is open to the public Monday – Saturday, 11am – 4pm. Adoptions will operate by appointment.
