Meet Meeka,

Meeka is a 10 yr old cat that needs a new place to call home. She was an only pet in her home. She has been in the care of the shelter since July 17th & in Foster Care since Oct 10th/25.

When at the shelter she hide away a lot in a cube. That was her safe place. Since in her foster home she still likes the security of a hiding place. She was in a room with other cats so she might be fine with a feline friend or as an only pet. She will allow you to pet her when she gets comfortable with you.

Meeka needs a very quiet home with just adults and she enjoys one on one time with her foster mom playing with toys on a string.

Meeka does have an old injury with her back right leg so when she walks she only puts her toe down. We have consulted with a vet & this does not affect her quality of life as it is an old injury & she has learned to adapt. It does not prevent her from getting where she wants to go even high places.

She is FVRCP vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed & spayed. She was spayed when she came in & was FELV/FIV tested negative.

Our shelter is open to the public Monday – Saturday, 11am – 4pm. Adoptions will operate by appointment only.
