She was found roaming in Shoal Harbour. We did look for an owner and did receive some information saying that she was owned so she will be staying with us to find a new home! We were told she is a young dog around 4 yrs old.
Bailey has itchy skin and was constantly scratching so she went to the vet for a visit. She is currently on a food recommended by our vet for allergies. This is likely going to be an ongoing thing for her the rest of her life unfortunately so whomever adopts her will have be prepared for future vet visits and food from the vet.
She is a very sweet and mild dog and lets us do whatever with her. She was great at the vet and getting a bath & her nails done at the shelter. We think she will be wonderful with children and cats because of her temperament. We are unsure about cats at this time.
She still needs to be spayed and has had a vaccine, flea treatment and deworming. When she is feeling a bit better she will be spayed by us but she can still go to a home in the meantime.

June 14/2023: Erin went in van to get the dog. Crystle Tulk called us – 700-4954 – 2 Birchcrest Road, Shoal Harbour – Stray seen at her door.
Originally owned by Brittany Power who then gave her to Tyler Linthorne from Bonavista. He never came to claim her. We think she was dumped in Clarenville because he could no longer care for her.
Vaccine: June 20/23
Interceptor: June 16/23
Advantage Multi: June 16/23
June 16/23: Vet visit. Had skin scrape. Could be mange or mites. Most likely allergies. Given Advantage Multi.
June 22/23: Took back to vet for something to relieve her itch. Given Amoxi-Clav for infected skin and Ketoconazole for yeast/fungus on skin. Said that Ketoconazole will need to be used until all dead skin falls off and all hair grows back. 1 more refill up to Health-E Choice Pharmacy for her.
June 27/2023: Adopted by Jillian Donovan – 769-9707 – 139 Cumberland Cres, St. John’s, NL, A1B 3M4 – firstname.lastname@example.org
