Meet Bear!
Bear is a very energetic dog that needs to be trained some long overdue manners. He is only 1 year old so when it comes to large breed dogs that makes him just a puppy! He likes to jump up and is a bit mouthy on your arms. We have seen this behaviour mostly when he meets someone new. Bear is a very loving dog that likes to be in the company of his people. He just lays on his blanket in the office and chews on bones for the most part.
He likes to go for walks and walks very well on a slip lead. He does NOT like in in car. He is destructive on the interior of the vehicle and barks at every vehicle that drives by. The best option for traveling with him in a vehicle would be in a large kennel. This is something he may never get used to.
We will NOT be placing Bear in a home with any other animals or any young children. We want someone who has experience with large dogs that has the knowledge to keep up with the required training for him. He is already NEUTERED and had an interceptor dewormer and a DA2PP vaccine.
Bear originally came to us back in February and he now finds his way back with us again in search for a new home. Bear was involved in an incident in his previous home and we will only be releasing the details on that to serious applicants. Since back with us Bear has been such a good boy and doing so well with training!
Please apply for him below by clicking the link to our adoption application under Step 3.
Please note that our shelter is open to the public Monday- Saturday 11am – 4pm. Adoptions will operate by appointment only.
