Lucy just arrived to our shelter with her friend, Cooper, when their owner sadly decided it was best to rehome them. The decision was very difficult and has nothing to do with the dogs or their behavior but rather the owners health. Lucy is a Boxer (not papered), who is a healthy and physically fit, but will need to be spayed. She is a short and petite girl, has a short nubby tail and has the saddest frown we've ever seen! Lucy's attitude is quite the opposite of what her frown lets on. She is happy, focused, and ready to please! She loves to play with toys, zoom around the yard and hang out with her friend. She walks well on a leash and her previous owner would often have her off-leash in safe areas. When it comes time to settle down, Lucy loves to snuggle up on the couch and relax. She is obedient, is very attentive and listens well when given commands.
Lucy has not lived with children, but is said to be great around them. She has not lived with cats before but will chase them if given the opportunity so a cat-free home is a must. In fact, the only other animal that Lucy has lived with is Cooper. Lucy and Cooper compliment each other very well. They know each others limits and because Lucy is so submissive, she is the perfect match for Cooper. Because Cooper and Lucy have grown up their entire lives together, love each other so much and get along so well, we are only looking for a home that will adopt BOTH Cooper and Lucy together.
If you are interested in adopting both Lucy and hher friend Cooper, please apply below or contact the SPCA for more information.
