This two-year-old husky mix is new to the shelter and is very friendly, but he is still a little shy. He came to us after a change in his owners living situation and the need for Junior to see a vet. Junior had a seizure that required him to see a vet and he was brought to us for help. He has seen the great people at the Community Vet Hospital and there is no immediate threat to his health. These things happen sometimes and may never happen again. This was Juniors one and only episode in two years and there have not been any incidents while he has been here at the shelter in our care.
Having said all that, we can not say enough good things about Junior. He is a well-behaved dog and walks well on a leash. Although he did not live with children, they did visit his home often and he was glad to play with them. He is used to being kenneled but loves the chance to explore. After a long day you would most often find him sleeping on the floor near the foot of you bed, he doesn`t like to be far from the ones he loves. He has lived with other dogs, and cannot live with cats as he has a high prey drive for smaller animals.
