Buddy is a little camera shy today but we took our time and snapped some sweet photos of him. Buddy is a 6 year old Labrador Husky who is new to the shelter.
He is looking for his forever home and hopes that you can look past his coat and see his big heart. Buddy had his fur shaved before her came to the shelter and we can not wait for it to grow back, we know that he will be even more handsome with it. He is an active guy and would love a home that could take him out for walks and hikes. He will need a harness as you know most husky's love to roam. Buddy is smart and would get out of a leash if he had the chance.
Buddy would need to be in a home with no cats and older children. He has lived with dogs, females only, but we have not tried him with any here at the shelter. We think that he would do best as an only pet or that he would thrive in a home with an experienced dog owner.
He is kenneled here at the shelter but it a lot larger space than what he was used in the past, we do not think that he would enjoy being in a kennel for long periods of time. Buddy will need a home with a high-fenced backyard, one that will keep him safe and active, afterall a tired dog is a happy dog.
He has been vaccinated, de-wormed, flea treated, and neutered next. Buddy really is a great guy that needs some love, just look at him.
