Meet Dru aka Drucilla,

Drucilla was found on Huntley Drive and was never claimed by an owner so she is now ready for a new family. We noticed first coming in that she was a little uncomfortable and a bit on the cranky side and now we know why.

Dru was at the vet to be spayed and they discovered she had pyometra which is an infection of the uterus that unspayed females sometimes can get when they are not spayed. Immediate spaying is necessary to safe the cats life. We are happy the vet discovered this and now  Dru can relax and start to feel more comfortable with us and show us what her true personality.

In the coming days we can try Dru with other cats at the shelter when she is feeling better but we are not sure about dogs at this time. She has been combo tested and will have her first vaccine, flea treatment and deworming.
