No owner has come forward for Archer so he now ready for a new home!
This big guy came in from the New Harbour area. He was wearing a collar with a tag on it but the phone number on the tag that was out of service. We have done everything to find his owners and have had no luck. We know that he did have a family who loved him in the past and it shows in his sweet attitude and loving nature.
He appears to have an injury to his eye but after a vet visit they have said there is nothing that can be done for it and it does not case him any pain, he is doing amazing just how he is. We are not sure what caused this, he could have been born like it or it was an old injury. He has adjusted quite well with one eye. It shows us just how much fight he has in him. Archer is actually the most affectionate cat in room two at the moment. He just adores attention and rewards us with purrs whenever we scratch under his chin.
Since arriving to the shelter Archer has meet Lila, a 9 year old Husky. He and Lila are new pals and Archer is not bothered at all about sharing his space with a dog. We think that he would do well in a home with a dog-friendly cat and a home with children would be just fine as well. He would certainly enjoy the attention that they could give him.
We do not know how old he us but a cats love for us humans cannot be measured in years and he does have a lot of love left to give to a new family.
